For all film projects, equal to or over $1 million, filmmakers can take advantage of the Moroccan government’s considerable incentives, which include a 30% cash refund and a 20% VAT exemption on all eligible spending within the country. Morocco is a great place for international film production because of these incentives as well as its distinctive and varied filming sites.

Morocco’s King, Mohamed VI has made a determined effort to get filmmakers to visit the country. He has issued strict instructions to implement a 20% VAT exemption on all goods and services purchased in the country. He also argued that the customs clearance procedure for the import and export of equipment, as well as the temporary importation of firearms and ammunition for all filming purposes, should be expedited. The Ministry of Culture has lowered its fees and now only requests lower contributions for historical sites.
